How do I go about registering with your company?We first ask that you forward your resume, either by fax or email. Our fax and email information is located on our Contacts page. After your resume has been received and reviewed, one of our staffing coordinators or a recruiter will contact you to set up an appointment for you to come into our office to register and interview.You will be required to fill out our application packet. Some positions require testing as well. When you come in to register, you will need to bring the following with you: (1) two forms of ID;one being a picture ID such as a State drivers license or State ID, and either your Birth Certificate or Social Security Card; (2) names and phone numbers of two previous employers for reference checking; (3) CDL Drivers A&B need to bring in an updated Motor Vehicle report and a Medical card; drug testing would also be necessary; and, (4) if you are looking for work in Allied Health or Nursing, copies of your immunization, MMR, Hepatitis-B, and TB records are required. Can I get to your office by public transportation?Yes. You can either call the Connecticut Bus Transit directly at 860-525-9181 for route information and schedules, or you can visit their web site. The following buses pass by our East Hartford office on Connecticut Boulevard:

Is there parking at your office?Yes. You can either park in the front or the back of the building. An interview takes approximately one to 1-1/2 hours, depending on how long it takes you to fill out the required paperwork, test if necessary, and be interviewed. Back to Top

What are your office hours?Our doors open at 8:00am and close at 5:00pm, Monday through Friday. Exceptions to this are Christmas Eve Day, and New Year's Eve Day. On these two days our office closes at 12 noon. The office is closed on New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. (If you are working on a temp assignment and need to contact your coordinator when the office is closed, just call our main number and leave a voice mail; your message will be picked up by our On-Call Coordinator. When are time slips due and paychecks available for pick up? Time slips for assignments in the Greater Hartford and Springfield areas MUST be received no later than 2 pm on Monday of the following week worked. Back to Top
Can a friend or relative pick up my check for me?Absolutely. Call, our East Hartford office first thing Friday morning to give them the name of the person picking up your check. That person must have a picture ID before sealed checks are released. Back to Top
What if I can't make it in to pick up my check before your office closes?All checks not picked up at our East Hartford office by 5:00pm on Friday are automatically mailed. Back to Top
When would I receive overtime?If you worked a 48-hour week at one assignment, the first 40-hours would be paid out as regular time and the remaining 8-hours would be considered overtime, paid out at time and one-half. In the event that you work on several assignments during the same week, and those hours combined are over 40 hours, then all hours would be paid out as regular time. Only when you work on 1 assignment would it be considered overtime. Some of our clients pay overtime after 8-hours worked, and if you work with one of these clients you will be told that this is the case. Back to Top
Is Direct Deposit Available?ASI offers direct deposit to all its active employees to the bank of your choice! Funds directly deposited will be available to you on Thursdays. To start direct deposit of your paycheck please furnish ASI with a blank voided check from your account with your social security number written clearly on the check. Back to Top
If I work on a holiday, do I receive time and one-half ?You will receive time and one-half if you work on the following holidays: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. Back to Top
